Professional poker players are taking down their share of World Series of Poker titles in Las Vegas. Sometimes the WSOP has a lot of amateurs winning preliminary events but that has not been the case as much in 2008. Poker pros Daniel Negreanu, Kenny Tran, Mike Matusow, Barry Greenstein and Max Pescatori took home titles recently to join Erick Lindgren, Nenad Medic and David Singer as well known winners.

Event #25 was the $10,000 No-Limit Holdem Heads-Up Championship won by Kenny Tran. He outlasted a field of 256 players to win over a half million dollars. The finals were a best two out of three and Tran won 2-0 against Alec Torelli. The 2008 Series has definitely been dominated so far by the poker professionals.
