What many of us forget is that in online poker there are actually bad seats at a poker table and there are actually bad tables for us to play at.
A bad table is one where either your seat position is not advantageous to your play or it is a table where the majority of the players are better poker players than you are. When it comes to making money in online poker rooms we need to check our egos at the door and realize that what we really want is an easy table where we can make money. How do we find that table? The first part of selecting the right table at online poker rooms is looking for a table with between 6 and 8 players. As you look at the online poker rooms you want to look at the stacks of the players at the table. If you are playing online poker and there are a lot of small stacks then the table is probably not worth your time. You want the type of table in online poker rooms that will have a lot of action, preferably limpers. You want to get at a table in online poker rooms where the betting is pretty good too. You also want to look at the seats available and the players to your left and right in online poker rooms. It is definitely in your best interest to be playing behind the loose player in online poker rooms. What you want in a table at online poker rooms is multiple players limping, multiple players calling, players seeing a lot of hands, and having position on the loose player. If you don't have these things then you probably have chosen the wrong table and can do better in online poker rooms. You should also be able to tell who the weak players are at the online poker table. Choosing the poker table you play at is of critical importance. Don't let this most important decision be one you choose to ignore. |
