Download NowThe 2007 World Series of Poker main event coverage begins on ESPN Tuesday, Aug. 21st and will continue until Oct. 9th. After the main event broadcast ends, ESPN will then broadcast the $50,000 HORSE event on Tuesday, October 16 until October 30. In other poker TV news, the final table of the Premier League Poker is set and the first two shows get underway on Channel 4 in the UK. United States poker pro, Phil Hellmuth enters as the chip leader closely followed by Germany's Eddy Scharf.

Other poker players at the final table include Finland's Juha Helppi and England's Ian Frazer. Also winning a poker satellite seats for the final table were Liz Lieu and Vicky Coren. Premier League Poker has become quite popular on UK television and continues to get good ratings. The series started on Tuesday May 22nd and has a prize pool of half a million dollars. 12 players bought in for $20,000 each and more was added to the prize pool. Blinds for the final table start at 1,000/2,000.

Commentary on UK television is provided by Jesse May with Tony G and Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliott. "This is a totally different concept and will make great television, it's like a poker Big Brother. It sets a new bar for televised poker,” said Ulliott. Hellmuth will start with the chip lead followed by Scharf, Helppi, Frazer, Lieu, and Coren.  Those players not making the final table were Andrew Black, Kenna James, Kirill Gerasimov, Ulliott, Tony G and Roland De Wolfe.
